Bad BreakUp? No Worries, Facebook Is There Too Help!

Facebook has gone to a whole other level of empathy. Its also sympathetic to your breakup dilemma.

On November 19, 2015, Facebook has set up a trial phase for the Breakup Tool. The purpose of this particular tool is to limit your recent ex's Facebook status updates, pictures and videos in order for you to recover.

When it comes to user experience, Facebook is taking the 'no holds barred' approach. Its taking the toughest aspect of human relationships and planning to be the shoulder to cry on. An article quotes Product Manager, Kelly Winters from the Facebook blog that:
This work is part of our ongoing effort to develop resources for people who may be going through difficult moments in their lives. We hope these tools will help people end relationships on Facebook with greater ease, comfort and sense of control.

The feature is tested with a focus group in the United States. The 'Take A Break' feature is suggested when the user turns its status from relationship to single. Limitations of both ex's news feed, status updates, pictures and videos are activated so that the user is able to recuperate from their breakup.

It's quite an interesting feature and shows how seriously Facebook takes its users's experience.
